Buy a Playaway and help DDR

DDR is partnering with Cleveland-based Playaway, a company that produces self-playing digital audio books. The Rite Aid Foundation awards $25,000 to DDR

The Rite Aid Foundation recently awarded DDR $25,000 to work with needy populations. Specialized materials will be developed over the next year for various offices. This funding will also allow for expansion into practices that serve children who are at risk.

Hathaway Brown to help DDR serve inner city youth

DDR was recently awarded a grant from the Hathaway Brown GROW foundation. The goal is to encourage reading and literacy among inner city children. DDR will offer a monthly (young) teen Book Club at the Otis Moss, Jr. -University Hospitals Medical Center, 8819 Quincy Avenue, Cleveland, 44114 DDR will provide these teens with books and a comfortable atmosphere for discussing the books.

2007 Award for Excellence in Literacy Promotion Announced

Daily Dose of Reading is pleased to award the 2007 Award for Excellence in Literacy Promotion to the LEAF program at the Shaker Family Center. Young children and families learning English will receive high quality picture books as part of home visits from the LEAF program. The John K. Mott Youth Distribution Committee Funds DDR Program

The John K. Mott Youth Distribution Committee of the United Way of Greater Cleveland is funding the DDR program Read, Talk, Sing, Play: Promoting Literacy Among Teen Parents. DDR is delighted to repeat this program which was offered last fall to teen parenting programs in Cleveland. This program will be offered in the fall and winter of 2007.

Reinberger Foundation Awards Funds to DDR

The Reinberger Foundation is awarding DDR $7500 in general operating support. This funding will help us continue to offer our programming and materials to pediatric practices across Northeast Ohio.
