Hathaway Brown helps DDR serve inner city youth

DDR was recently awarded a grant from the Hathaway Brown GROW foundation. The goal is to encourage reading and literacy among inner city children. DDR will offer a monthly (young) teen Book Club at the Otis Moss, Jr. -University Hospitals Medical Center, 8819 Quincy Avenue, Cleveland, 44114. DDR will provide these teens with books and a comfortable atmosphere for discussing the books. This is the second year the GROW Foundation has funded this program.

The Hershey Foundation provides books for families

The Hershey Foundation recently awarded $5000 to DDR. This funding will enable us to provide books to families in need in conjunction with home visits from public health department outreach workers and well child visits with pediatricians.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeastern Ohio provides books for families

RMHC-NEO awarded $500 to DDR to buy books for pediatric practices. The books are available to families to take home after their well child visits.
